Delivery to Singapore: shipping, duties and payment

Your order is going to Singapore. Our family grows and cures its vanilla in Madagascar, in the SAVA region. In your market we currently offer Bourbon vanilla in bulk, sold by the kilo, shipped from our stock in Guangzhou.

What we ship

Only vanilla in bulk, by the kilo, can be ordered to Singapore: the pouches, grinders, tubes and jars of our retail range are not shipped there for the moment. Our four bulk grades, Gourmet black, TK, Red and Cuts, are set out on our trade offer page. The minimum order is one kilo.

Delivery

Your order leaves from our stock in Guangzhou, China. SF Express shipping charges are calculated at checkout, based on the weight of the parcel: they are not included in the price per kilo. We pack your order within 2 to 5 working days, Monday to Friday, and we confirm the carrier and the schedule after the order, because both depend on the lot.

This shipping route out of China is in service: the delivery method from Guangzhou appears at checkout as soon as your delivery address is in Singapore.

Duties and import taxes

Your parcel enters Singapore from China. We ship DAP: customs duty, local import tax and clearance fees are the recipient's responsibility and the carrier collects them on delivery, under the rules of your country. Nothing is charged for them at checkout.

To give you a sense of it: Singapore levies customs duty on four categories of goods only, and spices are not among them. Goods and services tax at 9 % is due on import above 400 Singapore dollars in value, freight and insurance included; below that threshold nothing is collected.

These figures are orders of magnitude, given for guidance under the rules in force as at 6 September 2026, and not a commitment on our part: only the authorities of the destination country set the amount actually due.

We are also preparing an express shipping option for trade orders, under which we would settle the import duties and taxes ourselves. It is not open yet: no order can be placed that way today.

Prices are shown in Singapore dollars, and the exact amount is repeated to you before you confirm.

Returns and contact

Our goods are sealed foodstuffs. If there is a packing error, a defect or a damaged parcel, write to us within 48 hours at contact@vanilledesire.com, with your order number and photographs: we will offer a replacement, a credit note or a refund.
